It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing
of Norman Wellwood, 76, of Beersville. Norman passed away after a very
brief illness at the Dr.-George-L.-Dumont University Hospital on
Thursday, October 6th, 2016. Born in Harcourt,
he was the son of the late John (Jack) and May (Stewart) Wellwood.
Norman is survived and will be deeply missed by his
wife of 52 years, Donna (Beers); his daughter, Tina Brown (Brent) of
Dipper Harbour; his much loved grandchildren, Holden, Bailey and
Chloie; brothers, Guy (Sandy) of Burlington, ON, Bonar (Lynda) of Kent
Junction, Jim (Lovey) of Harcourt, Dean of Oakville, ON, Verd (Tina)
of Beersville, Rod of Burlington, ON and John of Cambridge, ON;
sisters, June (late Harold) of Oakville, ON, Roberta (Nelson) of
Shelburn, ON, Anna (Mike) of Limoges, ON, Hattie of Mississauga, ON,
Elenor (Brent) of Cambridge, ON and Donna (Larry) of Burlington, ON;
as well as many nieces and
nephews.
Besides his parents, Norman was predeceased by his
three brothers, Walter, Burton and
Lee.
In keeping with Norm’s wishes there will
be no visitation. A celebration of Norman’s life will be
held on Monday, October 10th, 2016 at 2:00pm at
St. James Presbyterian Church, Beersville with Reverend A.D.
« Sandy » Sutherland officiating. Interment will
follow in the church cemetery and a reception will be held immediately
following the service at the fire
hall.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. James
Presbyterian Church or to a charity of the donor’s choice
would be appreciated by the
family.
