Rachel M. Lynds
Rachel M. Lynds, 75, of Beersville, passed away peacefully at
the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Centre on Monday,
September 26, 2016. Born in Noelville, ON, she was the daughter of the
late Henri and Simone (Bigras) Mongeon. Rachel was a loving wife,
mother, grandmother and sister. A very lucky bingo player, she also
enjoyed shopping, flowers, gardening and loved animals, especially
cats; but first and foremost was spending precious time with her
family.
Rachel will be sadly missed by her husband of 58 years,
Vincent Lynds; daughters, Nancy Lynds (Jeff) of Ottawa, ON, Lorraine
Lynds (Mike) of Sudbury, ON and Diane Lynds-Doucet (Rob) of
Peterborough, ON; granddaughter, Cloey Ilnitski; brothers, Richard
Mongeon (late Christine) of Sudbury and Reynald Mongeon (Fern) of
Noelville; several nieces, nephews and extended family members. In
addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers,
Raymond, Roland and Bernard.
A Service to celebrate and honor Rachel’s life will
be held at Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton
(858-1995) on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 11:00 am, with Rev.
Jean-Guy Dallaire presiding. Interment will be held immediately
following the service at St. James Presbyterian Cemetery, Beersville,
with Rev. Sandy Sutherland officiating.
