The family announces George’s passing with sadness but also with thanks to God for the life of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother and good friend. George passed away on Saturday, September 17, 2016 in Regina, Saskatchewan. He has gone home to be with his Lord for eternity. George is survived by his loving wife and best friend Mary; son Jim (Karen); daughters Judy Michaud (Bob – deceased) and Karen (Gord Kilarski); grandchildren Christine (Drew), Laurie (Mike), Jennifer (Peter), and Kevin; great-grandchildren Tylan, Tayte and Alexa; brother Bob (Marie) plus many other family members. George was born and raised in Moose Jaw. He enjoyed a long, happy rewarding life. He greatly enjoyed his 44 year career with SaskTel which enabled him to travel most of the province and make many life long friends. George was a very generous person with his time and talents and always put the interests and wellbeing of others ahead of his own. The family is grateful for all your prayers and acts of kindness at this time. A Funeral Service will be held at Speers Funeral Chapel, 2136 College Avenue, Regina, SK on Saturday, September 24, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in Riverside Memorial Park. Flowers are gratefully declined. A donation in George’s memory, if so wished, may be made to a charity of your choice.
