Mrs. Betty Francis Glover, beloved wife of Mr. Douglas Glover of Lacombe, Alberta, passed away at Red Deer, Alberta on Monday, August 1, 2016 at the age of 80 years. Betty was born in the Brookfield District of Lacombe County to William and Audrey Gauld. She began her schooling at Eureka Valley and completed High School in Red Deer. After High School, she worked at the Central Alberta Dairy Pool. Betty enjoyed dancing at the Valley Centre Hall; where she met her husband, Doug Glover. They were married on August 18, 1956. The couple lived on her father’s sheep farm until her passing; where they farmed and raised their three children. Betty will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Doug; her children: Debbie (Murray) Wagner, Shauna (Wayne) Tomalty, and Neil (Leona); seven grandchildren: Trent (Erin) Wagner, Alyssa (Warren) Meyers, Reanne Wagner, Kyle (Sophie) Tomalty, Shaylene Tomalty, Jelayna Tomalty, and Wyatt Glover; and four great grandchildren: Paeton, Grayson, and Ellie Meyers, and Nolan Wagner. Betty was predeceased by her parents, and her siblings: Vernon Gauld, Molly Davidson Stone, Jean Gauld, and Ruby Purdie. A Memorial Service will be held at the Valley Centre Hall, Range Road 260, North of Hwy 595 on Monday, August 8, 2016 at 1:30 p.m. A Private Family Interment will take place.
