NICKLE, Paul Hubert – Passed away peacefully on Friday July 29 2016 with his family by his side, in his 72 year. Paul was born February 1, 1945, the much loved and only child of John Hubert Nickle and Vera Marguerite Parks. He leaves behind his partner Mary Hawken, son John Nickle (Brittany) of Thunder Bay, daughter Sarah Worden (Dave) of Brockville, grandchildren Jacob and Benjamin Ouellette, Elsie and Vera Nickle, stepson Troy Welch, stepdaughter Tracy Lowes (Wayne) and step grandchildren Chantelle and Jeremy Lowes. He was predeceased by his wife Susann Welch. Raised in Madoc, Ontario, Paul attended trade school in Toronto and worked as an automotive mechanic before moving to Ennismore. He joined the City of Peterborough Public Works Department where he retired after 34 years of service. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and especially time spent with his grandkids. Paul was a loving and devoted husband and father. Known as Papa Paul by his adoring grandchildren, he will be forever remembered and missed. Cremation entrusted To Community Alternative Funeral Home.
