Obituary Orest was born on October 3, 1943 in Yorkton, SK, to William and Edna Serediuk. He was raised on the family farm in Insinger, SK. Orest started his painting career at the age of eighteen. He went on to start his own business and continued painting for fifty years. He moved to Edmonton in the late sixties, where he continued his painting, and painted all over Canada and the Territories. In the mid-seventies, Orest started a life with Marlene. They had two sons, Nicholas and Michael, and they went on to make a home in St. Albert. Orest enjoyed cooking and making many favourite dishes for his family and friends; especially his famous potato salad that no one else could come close to making. He also taught his sons many life lessons which they follow today, for the most part. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family, but his greatest enjoyment in life was his grandson Blaine. Orest is predeceased by his mom and dad, William and Edna Serediuk; brothers-in-law, John Dwernyckuk and Rick Poberznek; father-in-law, Carl Malinowski; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. Orest leaves to mourn his loving wife of thirty years, Marlene; sons, Nicholas (Jess) and Michael (Shelby); grandson, Blaine; sister, Olga; niece, Debbie; mother-in-law, Lovelean Malinowski; as well as many friends and family who will all miss him dearly. A Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday, July 22, 2016 at St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 23, 2016, at St. Albert Funeral Home, 9 Muir Drive, St. Albert.
