Obituary Born in Edson, Alberta on February 23, 1948 Died on Thursday, July 7 2016 in Edmonton, Alberta. On the morning of July 7th, he passed away with his family by his side. We are fortunate enough that many made it on time to say our goodbyes. Ken will be greatly missed by his wife Arlene, daughter Trinia and grandchildren Hudson and Hawken , son Brett (wife Sharon), sister Marie (husband Albert), brother Glen (wife Marion), sister Laurie, brother Phil, sister Kelli, brother Kim (wife Tammy), sister Sherri (husband Keith), along with many nieces and nephews. Also missed by lifelong best friend Richard Simpson (wife Joanne), Uncle Bill (Glenda) Collin, Aunts Agnes, Kathleen, Margaret Collin and numerous friends and other family members across Canada and in Australia. He now joins in heaven with his mother Mary, father MacGuire Collin, step father Ed Greene, Arlene’s Aunt Rose (Bert) Corsbie, mother in law Violet (Jack) Few, Uncles George, Slim (Merton), Lloyd Collin, Aunt Marion Plumb, Aunt Elaine (Steve Kapty) (Bill Cook). Ken left before his time and will be missed greatly by everyone. We love you Ken and we will miss you forever. We know you have gone to a better place. Donations can be made in memory of Ken to a donation of your choice. Ken’s funeral will be held on Saturday July 16 at 2 pm with viewing in the hour before. Take 17th street south to 76 Avenue, turn left, east. Follow detour signs, convoluted, but keep heading east and south until you are headed south right next to Anthony Henday, Heading east on 76 Avenue through road construction, turn right at blockage to continue going south and east on side road. Turn right at Detour sign, follow road to next detour sign. At next detour sign, turn right(south) onto Meridian Street, there will be two 3 way stops – go through both Stay heading south (do not go onto Henday), at end of road is Lady of Peace and South Haven cemeteries. Turn right, go past first buildings. Connelly McKinley Funeral Home is at far west side in the cemetery.
