Donald Ross Dunton passed away peacefully at his home in Huntsville on July 1st, 2016 at the age of 76. His loving wife Brenda of 23 years was by his side. He will be missed by his 3 daughters Dona (Richard Theriault), Diane (Scott Thompson) and Maryann Hunt (Tony Beke). He was loved by his 6 grandchildren Brandon (Chantelle), Meghan, Breanna (Brett) Briar (Sean) Hailey (Blake) and Victoria. And his 5 great-grandchildren Campbell, Ethan, Callum, Nolan and Blythe. Don was born and raised on a dairy farm in Mississauga Ontario, the son of Doug and Ilo Dunton. Predeceased by his first wife Margaret Nancy Laird. Survived by his brother Ralph (Valerie) and predeceased by his brother Earl (Monica). Don worked many years at the Toronto assessment office before semi-retiring and moving to the Huntsville area. Don worked at varying businesses before meeting Brenda and spending his more recent years working in the travel industry. Over the last 23 years Don and Brenda have travelled the world. Don was a long time member (22 years) of the Rotary Club of Huntsville and more recently the Probus 1 Club of Huntsville. Don was an avid snowmobiler for more than 50 years and enjoyed golfing in his spare time. A man who was rich in love and family. A husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grand father, uncle, great uncle, and a friend to many. He will be sadly missed! In lieu of flowers, donations to Huntsville Hospital Foundation, would be appreciated by the family. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 14th at , Mark O’Meara Golf Course, Grandview Resort, 245 Grandview Drive, North in Huntsville, Ontario from 7-9 p.m. Remembrances will be shared at 8 p.m.
