Roberta Audrey Green 2016-2016 Mrs. Roberta Audrey Green formerly of Castalia Grand Manan Island passed away at the Grand Manan Nursing Home. Born at Castalia she was the daughter of the late Frank and Beatrice (Blackmore) Smith. Roberta married her husband Walter on April 30, 1946 and from then on she was a devoted wife, and then loving mother, and later grandmother to her family. She supported their fishing business from home and ran their house while Walter was fishing. The Immanuel Family Church was a big part of her life as she was a very faithful Christian. Helping with various jobs at the Church as a Sunday School Teacher and worshiper. Roberta will be missed by not only her family that she loved so dearly, but her friends that she made along life’s journey. She is survived by her two sons; Dana Green of Woodwards Cove, and Tracy Green (Julanna) of Castalia. One sister Mabel Bonnar-Smith of North Head. Eleven grandchildren, and twenty two great grandchildren, several great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Walter, her daughter Janice Russell, one son Gary Green. Also one sister Florence Griffin, and three great grandchildren. Visiting will take place at the Immanuel Family Church on Wednesday from 7-9 pm and the Funeral Service will take place at the church on Thursday June 30, 2016 at 1:00 pm with Rev. George Clark and Pastor Mark Munn officiating. The interment will follow at the North Head Community Cemetery.
