Obituary for Arthur Jensen Jensen – Arthur John Jensen, beloved husband of Clara of Brooks, passed away near Grassy Lake, Alberta on June 13th, 2016 at the age of 71. Art was born in Lethbridge and raised in Foremost. Art and Clara moved to Brooks in the early 1970’s, where they raised their children and Art made a career within the oilfield service industry and eventually owned a tank rental business. Art loved sports and particularly enjoyed golfing, fishing, boating, camping and spending time with his family. Over the years, Art was a member of the Foremost Elks Lodge, Big Country Oilmen’s Club and the Brooks Royal Canadian Legion. Art is predeceased by his parents Alfred and Edna and brothers Elmer and Dale. He is survived by his loving wife Clara whom he was married 48 years, daughter Renee Griffiths and her husband Kent, son Darin Jensen and his wife Carlee, grandchildren Kirk Griffiths, Cameron Griffiths (Tiffany), Brooke Whitney, Morgan Jensen, Dylan Jensen, sisters-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and his loyal and loving dog Joey. As per Art’s wishes, there will be no funeral service. In memory of Art, if family or friend’s desire, memorial tributes may be made to Brooks and District Health Foundation towards a much needed kidney dialysis machine.
