Fitzgerald, Cyril Edward (September 7, 1925 – June 9, 2016) Passed peacefully in his 91st year. Cyril will be deeply missed and remembered with love by Catherine Leone (Jackson) his loving wife of over 65 years, his son William Glenn and daughter Catherine Gaye and all of his nieces and nephews and many friends. Predeceased by his first born son Scott, his father Patrick and mother Elizabeth (Connors) and his seven brothers, Jim, Bernie, Pat, Leo, John, Ron and Don. Proud to be a Newfoundlander Cyril came to the K-W area, raised a family and overcame all the tragedies and obstacles that life threw in his way. He was a good man who had the respect and affection of many. A gentleman, a joker, a hard worker and a concerned friend you could count on in times of trouble. He was a loving, caring father and husband who was always there, and a nature lover who gazed at the stars in wonder. Godspeed Cyril, until we meet again. Cyril’s family will receive relatives and friends from 2:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick Street, Kitchener, 519-749-8467. A funeral service will be held in the chapel of the funeral home on Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Parkview Cemetery, Waterloo.
