The family of Coral are sadden to announce her passing on June 7, 2016 at Sunnyside Adventist Care Centre, where she was surrounded by her family, love, laughter and country music. Mom is survived by her daughter Debbie Grasby (Garth Sommerfeld), three sons, Gordon, Craig and Murray. Her grandchildren, Melanie (Mike) Baerwaldt, Jamie (Casey) Schumacher, Andrew Busby and Skylar Carlsenius. Great grandchildren, Matt Choponis, Brock Bowkowy, Torrin and Tave Schumacher and Avery Busby. Also survived by her brother Mel (Charlotte) Murray, sisters in law Lou Murray and Karen Murray and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Fred, daughter in law Sharon, brothers Keith and Dale and sister Donna and niece Sheri. Mom was born November 4, 1933 to Gordon and Isabelle Murray in Delisle. Growing up she played all sports and completed her school there. She worked as a switchboard operator in Rosetown and Delisle. It was here that she met our dad and raised her family. Mom was involved in her community where she taught Sunday school, coached ball, ran the baby clinic for 30 years, proud legion member for over 50 years, wrote for the Biggar Independent and The Outlook. Mom worked for the town of Delisle until she retired in 1998. Mom loved her family and friends, the TGIF girls, especially Evie and Norma. She could be found at any football, baseball or hockey game. Mom was a grandma to many kids in Delisle. Mom moved to Sunnyside Adventist Care Centre in December 2014 where she made new friends with the residents and the workers. Mom received excellent care here and we thank them for that. A private interment will take place with a Memorial Service on Thursday, June 16, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Delisle Curling Club, Delisle, SK. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to Sunnyside Adventist Care Centre (2200 St. Henry Ave, Saskatoon, SK S7M 0P5) and The Delisle Royal Canadian Legion Branch 184 (Box 82, Delisle, SK S0L 0P0).
