Douglas Roy Hayman 1957-2016 Doug Hayman of Riverview passed away on Wednesday, June 1, 2016 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Barrie, ON, he was the son of the late Wilbert and Isabel (Marshall) Hayman. Doug served with the Royal Canadian Armed Forces for 28 years as both Field Engineer and Master Carpenter having retired as the rank of Corporal followed by 12 years of service with the City Commissionaire. He was a member of The Royal Canadian Legion Moncton Branch #6 and the Air Force Vets Club. He was an avid dart player for both the CNR War Vets and The Garrison Club. He will be dearly missed by his loving wife, Beryl; stepson Ralph Bird of Moncton; granddaughter, Samantha Grace; sister Darlene Higgins (Ron) of Trenton, NS; brother Richard (Julie) of Saskatchewan; as well as his brothers-in-law Russell Bishop (Claudette) and Charlie Bishop (Tammy). The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd., Riverview, NB (869-2007) on Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 and 6:00 – 8:00pm with a Memorial Service by Moncton Branch #6 taking place at 4:00pm. A service celebrating Doug’s life will take place from Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel on Monday, June 6, 2016 at 11:00am with Father Charles Broderick officiating. Donations made to Friends of The Moncton Hospital Palliative Care Unit or a memorial of the donor’s choice would be greatly appreciated by the family.
