Marion Jane MacKenzie (Nee Martin) 1911-2016 After reaching a great milestone of 104 years it is still with sadness that we must take this time to announce the passing of Marion MacKenzie at the Dr. John M. Gillis Memorial Lodge on June 5, 2016, where she received excellent care and attention. A life long resident of Cardigan, PE. Born on August 26, 1911, at the family homestead in Dundas, PE, while times were much simpler, over the course of her life she experienced greater than a century of significant change and life experience. Marion was the daughter of the late Daniel and Laura (Nee Martin) Nicholson. She leaves with cherished and fond memories her children Ruth, Hamilton, Ont., Norma, Hamilton, Ont., Garth, Cardigan, PE, Elaine (Howard), Burnt Point, PE, daughter in law Claire, Cardigan, PE, grandchildren Kim, Darcy, Michelle, Greg, Vern, Gary, Darryl, Ryan, Ian along with several great grandchildren. Beside her parents she was predeceased by her husband Norman along with her sons Bill and Donnie. You are invited to join our family for a visitation of celebration as we continue to give thanks for the cherished memories on Wednesday, June 8, 2016 from 2 – 4 pm and 7 – 9 pm from Ferguson Logan Montague Funeral Home. A service of celebration will take place on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 10 am, from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, Cardigan followed by interment in the St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Cemetery.
