PETERS, Ronald – Passed away suddenly at home due to complications from diabetes on Friday, May 15th, 2015 in his 73rd year. Ronald was born and was a lifelong resident of Peterborough. Ron is survived by wife of 50 years Gladys, son Glenn and partner Keith, daughter Karen and partner Pete. Ron was predeceased by son Darrell. Survived by sisters Carolyn Peters and Marlene Ash. Ron will be remembered by extended family and his many, many friends. Ron was well known in the community after working at the City of Peterborough for over 33 years in the Public Works Department. Ron was a keen horseman and was also a huge fishing, hunting and trapping enthusiast. Ron has numerous trophies attesting to his outdoor skills. Ron’s many friends throughout the area could attest to Ron’s wonderful ability to strike a great deal!! A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, May 22nd, 2015 at 2 p.m. at NISBETT FUNERAL HOME, 600 Monaghan Road South, Peterborough, 705-745-3211, with visitation one hour prior. Private family interment Highland Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated by the family.
