It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of a husband, father, father-in-law and Dziadek after a brief battle with cancer. Zenon Kowalewski passed away with his family by his side on Friday, July 10, 2015. He was predeceased by his parents Witold and Anna. He will be deeply missed by his wife, daughter, son-in-law, Ratajczak family from Poland, cousins from Sweden and good friend Wiesiek from Spanaway, USA. Zenon is survived by his loving spouse Maria, who took such excellent care of him throughout his illness; as well as his son-in-law Ian; and daughter Sylvia. Zenon was a member of Electrical Union, IBEW Local 2038, in Regina for over 20 years. The family would like to give thanks to the member of the IBEW, Jerzyk Jamroziak, for his daily visits and for his support during Zenon’s last hours of his life. Also, a very special thank you to Dr. Zarkowic and his family Dr. Nair. Zenon was a great fisherman, a handyman and a man of many languages. His life was a legend: he escaped from communist Poland to Germany, then to Canada to provide a better life for his family, which he succeeded very well. A FUNERAL MASS will be celebrated at St. Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, 5020 7th Avenue, Regina, SK on Thursday, August 6, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. Thank you to all who showed their love and support during this difficult time.
