MORRIS WILSON BROWN beloved husband of Lucille, passed away at the Chinook Regional Hospital on Saturday December 4, 2010 at the age of 93 years after a short illness. Besides Lucille, he leaves to mourn his 7 children: Marilyn Bailes, Darrel (Jeanne), Sandra (Les) Thom, Karen (Wayne) Lindwall, Colin, Rick (Shelley), Cyndee (Fred) Mandeville; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters: Mildred Brook, Marjorie Brown, Vivian Davies, and brother Eldon. He was predeceased by son Billy, his parents Jack and Grace Brown, brothers: Howard, Stan, Bob, Bud. Morris was born on December 23, 1916 in Lisbon, North Dakota. He married Lucille Hancock on December 12, 1940; passing just a week before they could celebrate their 70th wedding anniversary. He farmed south of Raymond on the Milk River Ridge for more than 50 years where they raised their family. They sold the farm in 1993 and moved to Lethbridge and resided at Parkbridge Estates until his passing. Morris loved the mountains and spent many family holidays in Waterton Lakes National Park. Morris also enjoyed hunting and fishing with his family. In 1982 he visited relatives in North Dakota and was taken to the home where he was born. Morris and Lucille spent several winters in Mesa Arizona in the late 1980’s, early 1990’s. Over the last 15 years they had the opportunity to travel to Hawaii, enjoy a cruise to Alaska, and visited Ottawa. In September, Morris was hospitalized for the first time in his 93 years for an infection and then again on November 11th from which he never recovered. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory can be made to the Lethbridge and District Humane Society, 2920-16 Avenue South, Lethbridge, T1J 3Z6. Special thanks to the nursing staff and doctors on the 4th floor at the hospital. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday December 8, 2010 at 2:00 at CHRISTENSEN SALMON GENERATIONS FUNERAL HOME, 703-13th Street North, Lethbridge. Friends may meet the family prior to the funeral from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. Interment to follow at Archmount Cemetery, Lethbridge.
