Sherry Kurash (Ritchie nee Bruce)
Sherry Kurash passed away in her sleep after a short battle with stage 4 stomach cancer on February 11, 2025, in High River, Alberta.
Sherry was born on March 22, 1956, in Winnipeg, Manitoba. As a teenager, she moved to Minnedosa, Manitoba, and lived there until 2006.
Sherry met her husband, Rick Kurash, after she moved to Calgary, Alberta, where they joined their families into one big, blended family.
Sherry is survived by her husband, Rick Kurash, and their children and grandchildren. Daughter Kelly & Ryan Collen- Grandchildren Hanna & Wyatt, Stepdaughter Laura & Greg Young – Grandchildren Chanelle, Kingston & Jayson
Son Kurt & Morgan Ritchie – Grandchildren Mackenzie & Mason, Stepson Sean & Katie Ku rash – Grandchildren Claire & Adelyn.
Sherry is predeceased by her first husband Terry Ritchie.
Sherry’s love for her family and friends was above all. Her Grandchildren were her joy, and she loved
watching them grow. She had a passion for travel and was able to accomplish visiting 6 of the 7
continents over the years with various family and friends by her side.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date for her immediate family.
