Dad
Thank you for the incredible memories!
Dad didn’t just work hard; our family vacations were jam packed with fun with Dad singing country music loudly all the way there! I think of Dad when I hear the saying, « Sing like no one is listening. » He sure did! That will always be a fun and loving memory of Dad being Dad with his family! Dad also loved when there was guitar playing and singing around the campfire. Luckily for everyone in the campground he just preferred to listen.
Dad lived for our family vacations which were sometimes two months long! He taught us how to drive the motor boat, how to waterski, windsurf, fish and prepare our catch which mom always cooked up. Like Dad, Mom was always making our lives easier in so many seen and unseen, loving and caring ways.
In the last years, I would thank Dad for our wonderful lives together and Dad would tear up and say, he couldn’t have done any of it without Mom. Mom was Dad’s everything. Dad wouldn’t have been who he was without our Mom. Together they were our family’s strong example of how to live our lives – loving, giving without bounds and loud!
These memories help carry us through the tough times in life.
Now Mom and Dad are finally together again and wait for our reunion as do we.
We love you both so very much and carry you in our hearts wherever we go! Kim and Sandy
Our Dad
Family was everything to Dad; Mom, his kids, and his grandkids. He loved us all so very much. He took us all everywhere and gave us anything we needed and was always ready to help us with absolutely any projects we asked him to. He worked for his family tirelessly and we often joked that he was an energizer bunny! No one could keep up with him! Dad would even help our friends out! Yep, you could always count on Dad. You just couldn’t count on him to be on time. Dad was routinely 40 minutes late!
Dad had his quirks, like all of us do, but he was the guy that you could always count on for anything!
We love you Dad and will miss you so very much! Kim & Harald, Sandy & Gord
