In Loving Memory of Nobuo Suzuki
September 28, 1935 – January 2, 2025
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Nobuo (Nobby) Suzuki, who peacefully left this world in his sleep at the age of 89.
A devoted husband for 63 wonderful years, he shared an unbreakable bond with his beloved wife, Kyoko (Kay), who lovingly cared for him in his later years. Their enduring love and devotion to one another were a testament to a life well-lived together.
Nobby is survived by his cherished wife, two sons, Steven (Trish), Glen (Robyn) and his treasured grandchild Emerson. He also leaves behind three of his siblings, Tad (Kay), Chiyo (late Cecil Mahabir), Tami (Ken Sagara) as well as many members of his extended family. His warmth and laughter will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is now reunited with his parents, Sukesaburo and Ko, as well as his siblings, Fujiko Harada, Kimiko Nagai, Masako Uchida, Sho (Art), Eiji (Eric). Nobby was one of nine children who deeply valued the ties that bound his family together.
Nobby was a social and spirited soul who loved life and brought laughter to all who knew him. In retirement, he joined ACTRA and delighted in being an extra in many television shows and movies. Whether enjoying music, playing cards, or spending time with family and friends, he found happiness in every moment. An avid jokester, he had a unique gift for making others smile and laugh, leaving behind memories that will warm our hearts for years to come.
The past two years of his life were spent at Regina Gardens Long Term Care Home, where he was cared for with respect, kindness, and compassion. The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff for their exceptional care and support.
A private celebration of life will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to McMaster Children’s Hospital.
