Monica Allard Death Notice
With sadness for our loss, but gratitude for her life, we announce the peaceful passing of our cherished mother, Monica, on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 at Nipissing Manor in Corbeil. She was 99 years old.
Monica was predeceased by her husband Elmer Louis Allard (1920-2006). She was the beloved mother of Gladys Hummel (late Kevin 1950-2024) of North Bay and Kathleen “Kathy” Allard of Powassan. Monica was the dear sister of Eric Ulrick (Marilyn) of Powassan and was predeceased by her siblings Irene Graff (Howard), Betty Gallagher (Bernard), Gladys Hummel (Leroy), and Frank Ulrick (Carmel). She was a much-loved aunt to numerous nieces and nephews and a cherished friend to many.
Born in Nipissing Township to Ada (Dowdall) and Joseph Ulrick, Monica lived the majority of her life in Chisholm Township. She was an active member of St. Louis de France Church and later, upon moving to Powassan, St. Joseph’s Church.
Gladys & Kathy would like to extend a warm thanks to Dr. Rogers, and the staff of Nipissing Manor, for the exemplary and loving care that she received.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial mass will be celebrated at 12:00 noon. on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Church, Powassan. A celebration of Monica’s life and reception will follow at the Powassan Legion Hall, 62 King Street, from 1:00 to 4:00 pm, with a service at 2:00 pm.
