Obituary of Marlene Hyde
Hilda “Marlene” Hyde (née Hodgins) of Teeswater, passed away at Wingham & District Hospital on Monday, January 6th, 2025, in her 83rd year.
Born in Kincardine Township, Ontario on November 8th, 1942 to the late James and Alice (née Pinnel) Hodgins.
Beloved wife of the late Gordon Hyde (2008).
Loving mother of Rob Hyde and Ken Hyde both of Teeswater and the late Caroline Schill (2011).
Sadly missed by 12 grandchildren and their families, in-laws Gary McTaggart, Susan Hodgins and Terry Hyde and several nieces and nephews.
Marlene was the last surviving member of her family, being predeceased by her siblings, Betty McTaggart, Howard Hodgins, Bob Hodgins and Jimmy Hodgins, along with in-laws, Joan (Jim) Brooks, Harold Hyde and Carol Hyde.
A graveside service to honour Marlene’s life will be held at Culross-Teeswater Cemetery in the spring.
Memorial donations to Diabetes Canada or a charity of your choice would be appreciated as expressions of sympathy.
