Marlene Annie Hannah Hale passed away peacefully at James Paton Memorial Regional Health Center on the morning of February 5, 2025. As always, her husband Melvin of 21 years by her side.
Marlene is predeceased by her parents Augustus (Gus) and Wilhelmina (Jean) Noseworthy; brothers Raymond, Augustus Jr.; and brother-in-law Sean Dyke.
Left to mourn are her husband Malvin Hale; children Nichole (Troy) Redmond, Colleen (Trevor) Ings, Darrell (Melinda) Hurley, and Jarvis (Danielle) Hale; grandkids Morgan Ings, Benjamin Hurley, Jordon Redmond, Jenna Redmond, Cameron Hurley, Emily Hurley, Sadie Hale, and Ellison Hale; siblings Ron (Marilyn) Noseworthy, Cliff (Eileen) Noseworthy, Gerald (Lori) Noseworthy, Wally (Amanda) Noseworthy, Lisa Dyke. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, as well as a wide circle of friends.
Marlene in her life was not only a mother to her three children, but a mother/caregiver to many. Marlene would spend countless hours cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a welcoming home to anyone who needed it. Special mention made to her sister and best friend Lisa. Countless hours spent together and Lisa was there to the very end.
A special thanks to all the nurses and staff at James Paton Memorial Regional Health Center, and to all the family and friends that prepared meals during this difficult time.
As per her wishes, cremation will take place, and a celebration of life will be held at a later date.
