Marilyn Ann Ernst (née Corkum) passed away on March 10, 2025 in
Lunenburg, NS. Born on June 20, 1953 in Lunenburg, Marilyn was
surrounded by family and friends who cherished her presence throughout
her life.
Marilyn is lovingly remembered by her daughters, Tammy Johnston
(Craig) and Lisa DeMont (Kimber), siblings, Nancy Acker, Wallace
Corkum, Elenor Berringer, and Maryann Corkum. Her grandchildren
Aaron, Megan, Jeffery and Sabrina; and her great-grandchildren,
Olivia, Melody, Isaiah, Ciara, Brantley and Mya. Marilyn also had
many nieces and nephews.
Marilyn was predeceased by her parents, Wallace Sr. and Florence
Corkum, brother Arthur as well as her grandson Scott Ernst.
An avid bowler, Marilyn found joy not only in the game but also in the
friendships it fostered. She also loved playing cards and frequently
traveled to Newfoundland – a place that held special meaning for her.
Always ready for a gathering, Marilyn’s warmth and companionship
brought joy to those around her.
Marilyn will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her love for
family was unwavering, and her memory will forever remain in the
hearts of those she touched.
