With heavy hearts and faith in God’s eternal promises, we announce the peaceful passing of Mr. Kenneth (Kenny) Joseph Russell on May 2, 2025, at the age of 95.
Kenneth was predeceased by his beloved wife of 40 years, Wilhelmina “Billie” Russell, and his loving parents, Henry and Beatrice Russell. He was a devoted father to his son John (Erica) Russell and a proud grandfather to their son, Will.
For over 15 years, Kenneth shared his later life with his cherished companion, Anice Legallais, and was warmly embraced by her family.
Kenneth was also predeceased by his dear sisters Jean Kennedy, Florence (Claire) Leitch, Viola “Vi” (Jim) Vallance, Ruby (John) Redshaw, and Margaret (Tom) Barton. He is lovingly remembered by his surviving sister, Mildred “Millie” McCulloch.
Kenneth lived a life rooted in family, faith, and kindness. He was slow to complain and quick to laugh. His spirit, and love for family and friends, will be deeply missed and forever treasured.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in Kenneth’s memory.
Ken’s family invites all family and friends to gather for a time of visitation and remembrance at Wilson Funeral Home, 822 Pitt Street, Cornwall, ON (613-938-3888) on Thursday, May 8th, 2025 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Mass will take place at Blessed Sacrament Church on at 11:00 am Friday, May 9th, 2025.
