In Loving Memory of Karen Leung (Yuk Sim)
Karen Leung (Yuk Sim), age 81, passed away suddenly at home on October 19, 2025, with her devoted husband Kim by her side. A cherished resident of Stayner for over 45 years, Karen was known for warmth, generosity, and vibrant spirit.
She was a beloved mother to Ken and Mia, and a loving mother-in-law to Cai. Her greatest joy came from being “Ma Ma” to her grandchildren Leanne, Ashley and Nathan, who will forever carry her love in their hearts.
Karen’s presence was unmistakable – whether you saw her gracefully riding her bicycle through town, admire the lush Garden she tended with care, or tasted her delicious cooking at the Chinese restaurant on Main Street, she left a lasting impression. Her green thumb brought beauty to every season and her selflessness, kindness, and adventurous nature touched everyone who knew her.
Karen will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
In memory of Karen, donations to the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre Foundation – Cancer Center would be appreciated by the family.
