Gertrude June Staite (Lucero)
Peacefully, with daughters, Dauna and Ellen by her side at the Brockville General Hospital, June Staite passed away Thursday, December 5th ,2024. Beloved mom of Dauna (Bev), Ellen (Tom), Paula (Rob), Marshall, and Ian (Josie). Proud grandmother of many, loved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who will miss their Grandma June. Predeceased by her adored daughter, Dru and husbands, Eric and Ernie.
June’s passion was singing; she was involved as a Church Choir Director for many years, as well as performing in musicals in Winnipeg (Rainbow Stage) and in Brockville. Her passion was opera and every Saturday morning, June could be heard singing aria’s in her home. She loved her family and took every opportunity to be with them.
A visitation will be held at the Irvine Memorial Chapel at Roselawn, 2451 County Road 15, Maitland on Thursday, January 23rd, 2025 from 11am until 1pm with a Celebration of Life at 1pm in the chapel, followed by a reception. Donations to Cystic Fibrosis Canada would be greatly appreciated.
