In loving memory of Ilda Bruna Perch (Freschi) who passed away peacefully at Health Sciences North on Monday, February 24, 2025 at the age of 97.
Born June 21, 1927 to Alfonso and Caterina Freschi (nee Gerussi) in Conoglano (Cassacco), Italy. She was the beloved wife of George Perch (predeceased 1996), whom she met in Creighton Mine after arriving in Canada in 1955. Loving mother of Philip (Sherry predeceased) and Mary Anne Cresswell (Gavin) of Guelph. Cherished Nonna (grandmother) of Jenna (Greg), Emma, Cara (Jason) and Melanie (Paul) and great grandmother of Jaxson, Auston and Gabe.
Dear sister of the predeceased Gino and Carlo of Italy, Aldolfo (Cesira), and Amelia (Edigar) of Switzerland. Dear sister-in-law of Alex (Galdys) Peter (Ada) Mike, Harry (Laura), Nellie, Paul (Ida) Steve, Andrew and Kay, all predeceased. She will be remembered by many nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Known affectionately as “Nonna” to many, she was kind and caring, with a great sense of humour. She loved being with her family and friends and sewing, knitting, crocheting and gardening. Many thanks to all staff at Health Sciences North who cared for her and made her last few months as peaceful as possible.
Resting at the Lougheed Funeral Home, 252 Regent Street, Sudbury where friends may gather on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 4-8 pm. Funeral mass at St. Christopher’s Church, Whitefish on Saturday March 8, 2025 at 11am. Interment in the St. Stanislaus Cemetery.
