GLENDON GEORGE WIDDES
Glendon George Widdes, affectionately known as Glen, passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025, in Port Burwell, Ontario, at the age of 77. Born on February 5, 1948, in Midland, Ontario, he was a man of warmth and wit, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and craftsmanship.
Glen was a self-employed finish carpenter who took pride in his work with a reputable home builder. His hands shaped not only wood but also the hearts of those around him. A loving father to Kim Widdes and predeceased by his son Mike Widdes, Glen was also a cherished grandfather to Tyler Bell. He joins his late family members, Hazel and Albert Widdes (parents), Ron Widdes (brother), and is survived by his siblings, Linda Marsdin and Harold Widdes, along with their families.
Glen’s passions included camping, fishing, and boating, but above all, he treasured the moments spent over coffee with friends and family.
Remembered as loving, friendly, and funny, Glen’s jovial spirit will be profoundly missed by all who knew him. Cremation has taken place and there will not be any visitation or funeral services. Donations in memory of Glen can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association and can be done online directly with the charity or via cheque payable to Diabetes Association by contacting Ostrander’s Funeral Home.
