The Lord in His infinite wisdom called George home to Himself on March 21, 2025.
Loving husband of Henrietta for almost 56 years. Beloved father to Joyce & Rick VanSydenborgh, Gerrit & Theresa Jonker, Harold & Janice Jonker, Hermina & Steve Brouwer, Annette & Jeff Tenhage, Jolene & Greg Lodder, Trish & Eric Smith, Tim & Virginia Jonker.
Cherished Opa to 44 grandchildren, Lee-Anne (& Kevin), Jamie, Alex, John, Kaycee, Matthew, Reuben (& Jannel), Logan, Alayna (& Cohen), Sam, Norah, Elijah, Janaye, Silas, Gideon, Isaiah, Macrae, Gavin, Keaton, Jacob (& Leah), Mason, Dayna (& Justin), Cole, Chanelle, Doug, Luke, Brett (& Leah), Levi, Timera, Davis, Blake, Jodine, Jayden, Isaac, Kylee, Arianna, Mark, Grace, Georgia, Owen, Aurora, Lily, Dalton, Celia and 9 great grandchildren.
He is survived by and will be missed by his siblings Harold (✞) & Grace Jonker, Luke & Ena Jonker, Albert (✞) & Ali (✞) Jonker, Hilda & Tom (✞) Overbeek, Peter & Henrietta Jonker, Diane & Bert (✞) Niezen, Mary & John VanEerde, John & Diane Jonker, Jenny & Jon (✞) Groen, and Grace Jonker. And his in-laws John (✞) and Wilhelmina Kottelenberg, Harris and Jo (✞) Kottelenberg, Ben and Joan Kottelenberg.
The family will receive their friends for visitation at the Orangeville Canadian Reformed Church (55 C-line, Orangeville, ON) on Wednesday March 26, 2025, from 2:00 pm-4:00 pm & 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Funeral service will take place at the Orangeville Canadian Reformed Church (55 C-line, Orangeville, ON) on Thursday March 27, 2025 at 1:00 pm. Reception following.
(Spring interment to take place at Greenwood Cemetery).
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to Bethell Hospice.
