COXON, Evelyn Louise of RR#2 Milverton passed away peacefully at Stratford General Hospital on Saturday, January 25, 2025, in her 100th year. Evelyn was predeceased by her husband Lloyd Robert Coxon (1996) and her son-in-law Jim O’Grady (2010). She was the last surviving member of her family. Evelyn was predeceased by her parents Reuben and Melinda Hoffman and by her sister Kathleen and husband Joe Semple and her brother Calvin and wife Marion Hoffman. She was also predeceased by brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Earl and Bernice Coxon, Minnie and George Ruby, and Ada and Murray Cloes.
Evelyn is survived by her daughters Mary Jane Coxon, Brenda Coxon, and Linda and Murray Brodhagen. She will be greatly missed by her grand-daughter Marie and Andrew Lindner and their children Maisie and MacKenzie, and by her grand-son Andrew and Megan Brodhagen and their children Lachlan and Madison.
Evelyn was a member of St. Paul’s United Church, Milverton and a life member of the Gravelridge Women’s Institute. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary to the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 565 and served many years on the Milverton Ag. Society.
Cremation has taken place. A private funeral service will be held. Pastor Sonja Van De Hoef Fraser will officiate.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to St. Paul’s United Church or the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 565 would be appreciated and can be made through the funeral home.
