Darryl Harvey Beitz of Hanover passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 9th, 2025, at Hanover and District Hospital in his 58th year, after a long hard battle of kidney disease. Beloved wife of 21 years to Lynda (Lynn), cherished father of Jessica (Brandon) Hastie of Hanover, Jeremie (Michayla) Duguay of Durham, Keith of Owen Sound, and a special “Dad” to BJ (Sarah) Coville of Chesley. Known as “Grandpa Turtle”, he loved his grandchildren Leyland, Brielynn, Jamison (JJ), and Savannah. He will be dearly missed by the fur babies, Buddy, Smoke, and Dolly. Darryl will be remembered by his siblings Barry (Donna) of Teeswater, Allan (Marnie) of Glammis, RoseAnn (Tim) Koebel of Riversdale, Darlene of Hanover, Susie (Pat) of Midland, Jeff (Karen) of Allan Park, Ron (Jackie “Pretty Lady”) Manto of Tiverton, and many nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by son Daniel Beitz, brother Mike Beitz, parents Harvey and Caroline Beitz, and parents-in-law Marjorie and Allan Manto.
Celebration of Life for Darryl will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 23, 2025, at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 102, Walkerton.
