It is with profound sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Cindy O’Donnell (Cynthia Lillian O’Donnell) 54 of Carrolls Crossing, New Brunswick. Cindy Peacefully took her last breath surrounded by a room full of her closest family and friends with an infinite amount of love at the Doctor Everett Chalmers Regional Hospital.
Cindy was diagnosed with cancer in early December of 2023. She fought a hard battle, and did so with tremendously admirable strength, and dignity. Not once did she complain or ask why. She put all of her faith and trust in God, which carried her through until the very end.
To know Cin was to love her. It was being in the presence of the most genuine, gentle, soft-hearted soul you had the honor of knowing. She had a way of making everyone feel safe, heard, respected, and loved. It is hard to sum up all that she was in just a few sentences, as she truly was a one in a million kind of human. Cindy was and will continue to be a light in the lives of everyone who knew and loved her. Infinite time will never be enough when you lose someone as precious as her.
Cindy had the most infectious laugh you ever did hear, which often caused a chain reaction of laughter. She had a way of making you feel like a comedian, even when your jokes weren’t all that funny. Her smile lit up every corner of the room she was in.
Cindy was extremely hard working and dedicated to her jobs. She absolutely loved her Windsor Court family of 21 years. Lifelong seeds of friendship were sewn throughout those couple of decades. She was also dedicated to working for her brother’s company, Harmony Home Support and Family Services, for more than five years. More than anything, Cin adored her family and friends like no other. She rarely got through the day without a Tim Hortons in hand. Cindy loved her fur babies, dance music, brain teasers, crime shows, and so much more.
She was the best, most loving, and loyal sister to Angela O’Donnell and Trevor O’Donnell. An incredibly amazing aunt/second mother to her only niece, Jenna O’Donnell (her little penguin).
Cindy was pre-deceased by loving parents, Beverly and Edith O’Donnell, and wonderful grandparents, Gretta and Roy O’Donnell. Along with Hazel and Raymond Irving. As well as Uncles, Lloyd and Earl Irving. And great friend/neighbor, Evelyn Matush.
Cindy is survived by her brother, sister, and niece mentioned above, as well as her loving uncle and aunt, Darrell and Marina O’Donnell. Many wonderful cousins, extended family, and great friends. In no particular order: Erin Dugas (Marc, Elijah, Isiah), Katherine Stairs (Phil, Liana), Jacalyn Albright (Kirby, Derek, Alyssa, Dexter, Isaiah), Norma Lyons, Ricarda Bradley (Brad), Trevor Stairs (Maurice), Angela Harrington, Tyrone and Hope Elson (Gabriel, Tristan, Lukas), Sherry Storey (Steven, Konnar, Gabbie, Alessandro), Sandra Lyons, Jeffrey Irving, Nick Storey, Alicia Kenney (Jason), Felicia Amos (Travis, Madison, Willow), Lindsay Demerchant, Sharon Flowers (Mike, Mason), and Candace Purcell (Asher).
On behalf of the family, thank you to each and every person who has supported Cindy and her family during this journey. May angels lead you in our dearest, Cin.
Burial and a celebration of life will take place at a later date. Arrangements are in the compassionate care of Chipman Funeral Home & Crematorium (506) 339-6612. Memories and condolences may be shared through www.chipmanfuneralhome.ca.
