It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Claudette Albertine Blagrove, who passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025, in Ajax, Ontario.
Born in Palmers Cross, Clarendon, Jamaica, on September 11, 1944, Claudette lived a life defined by profound love. She will be forever remembered for her kind heart and generous spirit. Claudette was an inspirational and remarkably strong woman, deeply respected by her family and community in both Canada and Jamaica. She was also fondly known as « Tae » or « Madaw Tae » to those closest to her.
Claudette dedicated her career to Philco Products (now Ford Electronics), beginning in 1970. She was immensely proud of her perfect attendance award, a testament to her unwavering character. Claudette also generously helped many secure employment at Ford when they were unable to do so on their own. She retired in 2001. In retirement, she and her husband traveled frequently to Jamaica, where they hosted an annual Christmas celebration for the children—a cherished tradition of giving back to the community that everyone eagerly anticipated each year.
Claudette was the « Rock » of her family, whom she loved and cherished unconditionally. Her family was her world, and she shared a uniquely authentic and special bond with each member. Claudette also cultivated many deep and lasting friendships throughout her life, ensuring that no one was ever excluded. She was a constant presence, offering unwavering support day and night, through every challenge.
Claudette is lovingly remembered and deeply missed by her devoted children, Michael, Hugh, and Sherrie; her daughters-in-law, Lisa and Marceline; her son-in-law, Bramley; and her sister, Lilieth.
Her memory is cherished by all, including her late husband, Harold, and her late brother, Earlston
She was blessed with nine grandchildren, whom she adored as her own: Cleopatra, Anthony, the late Laquan, Malik, Brittany, Rayquan, Jaden, Amaya, and Taejah.
She is also survived by four great-grandchildren: Jawnyah, Jahmour, Arianna, and Elijah.

Visitation – Friday August 29th, from 6pm-9pm and Saturday August 30th, 9am-10:30am at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home.
Funeral Services – promptly at 11am on Saturday August 30th, at Chapel Ridge Funeral Home.
Internment – Christ the King Catholic Cemetery- 7770 Steeles Ave East, Markham, L6B 1A8
Reception – commencing at 4pm @ The Polish Veteran’s Association- 1551 Stevenson Road North, Oshawa L1L 0N7
The family deeply appreciates the outpouring of love and support received through countless telephone calls and heartfelt well wishes. Claudette’s life was a powerful testament to her unwavering faith and the immeasurable importance of family. She touched so many lives with her kindness and strength, and she will remain forever in our hearts. Her absence will be profoundly felt. Her life was truly a blessing, and her memory will be a treasure we hold dear always.
