Charlie was a good man who enjoyed the simple things in life. His family was everything and there wasn’t anything he wouldn’t do to make them happy.
Although he spent his life working on vehicles and fixing anything broken, Charlie’s true passion was being in nature. From berry picking, to cod fishing, to moose hunting, to growing trees; Charlie was happiest outside. Nothing made him more content than early mornings or late evenings casting his fly on a salmon river. Charlie was a man of faith and in his later years you could find him each day sitting at his kitchen table reading his bible and copying many of its verses. His faith gave him strength and we know he is rejoicing in being together again with Tryphena and Tuesday.
Special thanks to everyone at Long Term Care who took such good care of Charlie for the past 14 months.
Visitation will take place on Sunday March 30th 2025 from 7-9 PM and Monday March 31st from 2-4 and 7-9 PM from East Haven Funeral Home. Funeral Service will take place at Faith Pentecostal Tabernacle in Port Aux Basques, at 2 PM on April 1st, 2025, with Pastor Jeffrey Bessey officiating. Interment to follow at Faith Pentecostal Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Parkinson Society of NL or to a charity of one’s choice would be appreciated.
