Annlizbeth « Liz » Soroka (Nee Silver)
Peacefully on Wednesday, January 22, 2025. Beloved daughter of the late Sam and the late Yetta Silver. Beloved wife of Abraham « Mem » (Abe) Soroka. Cherished mother and mother- in-law of Charles Soroka and Bonnie Yashinsky, Dana Soroka and the late Mitchell Goldbloom, Sandra Salesas and the late Seth Soroka. Loving Bubbie of Jesse and Mia Soroka; Samuel Soroka; Benjamin Soroka; and Talia Goldbloom and Jordan Goldbloom. Dear sister of Sandra and the late Ivar Riff; and predeceased by Abe’s siblings and their spouses. Survived by her many nieces and nephews who she cared for immensely. Liz will be remembered for her infectious smile and happy disposition and for positively influencing thousands of students lives through her work at the Lansdowne Tutoring Centre and the West Island Lansdowne Tutoring Centre which she helped found and direct for decades. Special thanks to Dr’s. Shechtman, Ferrario and Zigby at the Jewish General Hospital for their exceptional care and compassion.
Funeral service from Paperman & Sons, 3888 Jean Talon St. W., on Sunday, January 26 at 10:00 a.m. Burial at the Congregation Beth Zion section, Eternal Gardens Cemetery, Beaconsfield.
