Born of September 12, 1937, and passed away unexpectedly on November 5, 2023, the Iler Lodge Retirement Home at 86 years of age. Beloved wife of the late Morley (1995). Daughter of the late Edwin “Babe” (1940) and Olive Will (1977). Loving mother of David Fawdry (Lori), Brian Fawdry and Donna Clinansmith (Jamie). Treasured grandmother of Ursula, Thomas and Esther Fawdry; Katie and Lukas Clinansmith. Predeceased by her brothers Lynn Will (2019) and the late Earl (1985). Sister-in-law of Bev Collard (Will) and the late Ruth Kehl (George). Also survived by many nieces and nephews as well as many kindred friends.
Wilma worked for Heinz for 14 years and retired from Home Hardware as the “paint lady” after 15 years of dedicated service. Both mom and dad loved to travel, especially to Manitoulin Island. She was a member of the Es United Church for over 50 years, serving on various committees. She was an active volunteer with the Cardiac Wellness Centre, Iler Lodge, and the Heart and Stroke Foundation for over 30 years. Wilma received countless volunteer pins from the Canadian Cancer Society. She volunteered with Meals on Wheels for over 30 years and was a volunteer with Canadian Blood Services.
Wilma is resting at the Kennedy Funeral Home Ltd. (519-776-7378) 128 Talbot St. North, Es on Thursday from 6-9 p.m. The funeral service will be conducted at the Funeral Home on Friday at 11 a.m. with visiting one hour prior. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Windsor & Es Humane Society, Es United Church or to the charity of your choice. You may send your condolences online at www.kennedyfh.com
