MUILEBOOM, Wilhelmina ‘Willy’ (nee Opdam) – Passed away peacefully at the Welland County General Hospital on Thursday May 16, 2024 at the age of 87. Beloved wife of the late Johannes ‘John’ (2000). Cherished mother of Richard (Patricia) Muileboom, John ‘Bill’ (Rita) Muileboom, Debbie Muileboom, Suzanne Martin, the late Peter Muileboom, the late Gerry Muileboom, mother-in-law of Anne Marie Muileboom. Loving grandmother of Brandy (Johnny), Chantelle (James), Suzanne, Ricky (Jenny), Margaret (Simon), Libby (Eddie), Dylan (Cassandra), Kayla (Cory), Justin (Sarah), Jordan (Liz), Cole, Annelise and great-grandmother of 8, with 1 on the way. She will be fondly remembered by her siblings Mary (the late Frank), Kaas (Liz), Theresa (the late Conrad), Nellie (Ed), Liz (Jan), sister-in-law Pat, brother-in-law Nick, as well as many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Peter and Jacoba (nee Vanderpeet) Opdam, brothers John, Peter and sister Coby. Willy will be remembered for her kind spirit and love of God and family and animals. She loved singing in the Sacred Heart Choir and entertaining friends and family. She and John loved swimming in the ‘Crick’ and travelling together. The family wishes to acknowledge the exceptional and compassionate care given to Willy by the staff of Welland County General Hospital. Cremation has taken place. Friends are invited to join the family at the PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME, 6062 Main St. Niagara Falls, visiting Wednesday May 22, 2024 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday May 23, 2024, at 10 am at Sacred Heart Church, Chippawa. The Rite of Committal will take place at a later date at St. Joseph’s Cemetery. In memory of Willy, memorial contributions may be made to The Niagara Health Foundation (Walker Family Cancer Centre), and would be appreciated. Online condolences at pattersonfuneralhome.com
