The family announces with great sadness his passing in Sudbury, Friday, October 20, 2023 at the age of 89 years. Son of the late Eugene and of the late Mary (née Perreault) Laplante. Beloved husband to Estelle Laplante (née Carrière). Loving father to Michael Laplante (Leona) and Danielle Laplante. Stepfather to André Lamothe (Martha), Robin Young (Cheryl), Sean Young (Kevina) and Angele Young (David). Cherished grandfather to James (Erin), Matt Jenny-Dee, Scott, Madison, Jordan, Amy (Alex), Trevor (Krystal) and Ryllie. Great-grandfather to Madelynn, Michael, Joel, Morgan, Leo, Lorelei, Tianna and Mélodie. Dear brother of Darcy Laplante (late Diane). Predeceased by his brother Maurice Laplante (late Ida) and by his sister Joyce “Bunny” Perras (late Jeoffre). Bill will be sadly missed by many relatives and friends. In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation or service. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
