It is with great sadness we announce the
sudden passing of William Anthony Brown,
age 55, of Amherst. William passed away at home, on Wednesday,
September 25, 2024.
Born in Amherst, he was the youngest son
of Pearl Brown (Gates) and the late Leslie Brown of River
Hebert.
Although a quiet person, William was
very much loved by all those that knew him. William was always known
for his signature little smile and could often be seen walking to and
from his workplace. Over the past twelve years, William thoroughly
enjoyed his time working as a cook at A&W, and will be dearly
missed by his A&W family.
William was a very intelligent
individual, as evidence by his training as an electrician and
machinist. William enjoyed listening to music, watching films,
walking, and electronics.
He is survived by his dear mother Pearl
Rosan Brown, and siblings Shirley (Don Simpson), Patricia Cormier,
Carol (Dick Bristol), Jim Brown, Holly (Daryl Morton), and Sandra
(Stewart Campbell). Additionally, William will be missed by his
numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews; especially, his nephews Dwayne
Cormier and Bobby Simpson.
Predeceased by his father Leslie Brown
and his sister Linda Simpson.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the
Jones Family Funeral
Centre, 70 Church St., Amherst, NS (902-667-8777) where
a Celebration of Life will take place Tuesday, October 1, 2024 from 1
PM to 3 PM.
Donations in William’s memory
can be made to Izaak Walton Killam Hospital for Children, in
Halifax.
