It is with the heaviest of hearts that we announce the passing of Wendy Lynn Wiebe (Miners). She died peacefully, surrounded by loved ones, on May 2, 2023 at Chatham Kent Health Alliance.
Wendy was a beloved wife to William (Bill) Wiebe. Together they loved fishing at the lake, spending time with family, and caring for their neighbours. Wendy, who was renowned for her cooking and baking, would often cook meals to share with those in her community. She had the most infectious laugh and the biggest heart.
The greatest reason for her being were Wendy’s kids; Jamie, Eliashia, and Rick. They were the guiding forces in her life. Over the years they blessed her with her 10 grandchildren; Taylor, Josiah, Scott, Duncan, Victoria, Nicholas, Max, Skylar, Ricky and Phoenix. Her joy was found in them and her 3 great grandchildren; Amelia, Sophia and Gemma. She was also a cherished mother figure for many years to Melissa, Will, Lorne, Mark and Tasha. We are forever indebted to Dorothy and Billy for helping to take care of her so well. She is now reunited in paradise with her parents Josiah and Elva, her brothers Don and Larry, and her pup of almost 20 years Sly.
Cremation has taken place. The family would like to welcome those whose lives Wendy touched, to her son Jamie’s home in Rodney ON for a Celebration of Life June 3rd at 2:00 pm. The family asks that you reach out for further details. Donations can be made in Wendy’s honor to the Canadian Red Cross. Wendy was a proud employee for many years and the causes they support were close to her heart.
