May 30 2024 résidant dans la province Saskatchewan pour le détail des funérailles.

Wendy Lea Shand (nee Hale), passed away on May 30, 2024, at the age of 73. Wendy was a kind-hearted and loving wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend.
Wendy was born and raised in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan by Kenneth and Irene (nee MacMillan) Hale, along with her sister Linda Thiessen (nee Hale) and Scott Hale. In her early years, Wendy was passionate about girl-guiding, babysitting, baking, and attending dog trial competitions with her Dad.
In high school, Wendy met the love of her life, Les (Leslie) Shand. They attended the University of Saskatchewan together. Then they built a life that took them to Prince Albert, Zander Lake, Saskatoon, Kanata, Ottawa, Prince Edward County, and Lumsden, where they resided in their final years together.
Wendy will always be known for her genuine kind & caring nature. She loved being outside, whether it was camping, gardening, or her years spent on their boat in Ontario. She was a very talented cook and baker, who left legacies of recipes and hand-written cookbooks with her family and friends. She also loved nature, was well-versed in birds, and cared for many furry friends in her years, including wild ones.
She was predeceased by her husband Les; parents Ken and Irene Hale; parents-in-law Michael and Anne Shand; Brother-in-laws Milton Shand and Neil Thiessen; and family friend Andy Rollo.
Left to mourn her loss are her three children who simply adored her Trevor (Lauren), Stacey (Luke), and Kristina (Steve); her seven beautiful grandchildren Samantha, Sydney, Scarlett, Everett, Jade, Thayer, and Ryker; her sister Linda (Gord); her brother Scott (Kathy); her sister-in-law Sandy; her nephews and nieces Michael and David Shand, Bryan and Andrea Thiessen, and Cory, Kirsti and Kelsey Hale; as well as long-time friends Kathy and Ron Guenther, Bob and Joy Lytle and Suzy Rollo; her friends and neighbors in Lumsden; and her Riverbend community of friends and staff.
We invite all who knew Wendy to a Celebration of her Life, Friday, June 7th at 10:00 a.m., with a reception in her memory following the service at Speers Family Center located at 2333 Cornwall Street, Regina, Sk. Wendy will then be laid to rest in Lumsden, SK alongside Les and her parents, overlooking the beautiful Qu’Appelle Valley.
“I love all of you so much-you have filled my life with such joy. A family is the most important thing in life and I was so privileged to share my life with all of you” ~Wendy
