He excelled at sports in his younger days, especially his favorites, hockey, baseball and golf. He coached minor hockey and baseball as well. Wayne taught secondary school from 1975 – 2005 and proudly displayed his “30 Years Appreciation of Service” plaque from the District School Board of Niagara in his home. The family is grateful for the care Wayne received at Niagara Falls Hospital. They appreciate the help provided by the staff of H. L. Cudney Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations to a Niagara Hospital Foundation would be welcomed. Online condolences available at www.cudneyfuneralhome.com.
Wayne gets the final word: “O Lord, help us to be content, whatever we possess; protect us from the foolish lie that ‘more’ brings happiness.”
