Wanda Helena Livingstone
1926-2023
It is with great sadness that the family of Wanda Helena
Livingstone age 96 of Amherst announce her peaceful passing on
Saturday, April 22, 2023 with family by her side at the Cumberland
Regional Health Care Centre, Amherst.
Born in
Hastings, she was the daughter of the late Norman and Etta (Atkinson)
Noonan.
Wanda graduated from Nursing School in
Campbelltown NB in 1948. She worked as a registered nurse in London,
ON and Moncton, NB.
She enjoyed knitting,
crocheting, quilting, cooking, reading, gardening, camping and many
winters in Florida. She was always up for a game of cards which
brought out her very competitive side.
Wanda
was very involved and a strong supporter of Al-Anon Family
Groups.
She was a member of the First Baptist
Church in Amherst and was also involved with the Ladies Auxiliary. At
one time she was involved with the ACW at Christ Church in Amherst.
Wanda was an avid animal lover, having many dogs and several cats.
Above all she loved spending time with her family.
Wanda will be fondly remembered by son David Albert
Livingston, daughter Donna (Barry) Beaver, special cousin Malcolm
Noonan, grandchildren Jason (Kristina), Sally and Randy (Ana Maria),
great grandchildren Desiree, Kellar, Landon, Willow, Ocean, step great
grandchildren Aidan, Marla, Ryan and Brady, sister Sharon (Jim
Gallagher) Smith, special niece Susan (Jay Burke) Smith, sisters in
law Dolores Noonan and Rose Noonan, brother in law Lawrence Tower,
many nieces, nephews and extended family.
Besides her parents, Wanda was predeceased by her husband James
Livingstone, sister Lorna Jane Smith, brothers Edward and
William.
A service to celebrate
Wanda’s life will be held on Monday, July 10, 2023 at 11 am
in the First Baptist Church, Amherst followed by a time of social
gathering.
A celebration of life with
refreshments and sharing of memories will be held Thursday, July 13,
2023 from 1 – 3 pm held in in Albert Mines Baptist Church,
Albert Mines, NB followed by the interment and graveside committal
service at 3 pm in the Albert Mines Cemetery.,
Donations may be made in Wanda’s memory to the charity
of your choice.
