It is with broken hearts that the family of the late Walter Louis Kenway of Red Harbour announces his passing. Walter passed away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre in Burin on June 28, 2024 at the age of 83.
Leaving to mourn with a lifetime of wonderful memories are his wife, Madonna Kenway of 62 years; Son, Fred (Margie) of Red Harbour; daughters, Kathy Rowe (Paul) of Fort McMurray, AB, Gwen Peach (Derrick) of Red Harbour, Judy Kenway (Terry) of Marystown and Kim Hutchings (Peter) of Red Harbour; 5 grandchildren, Sonya, Michael, Josh, Sarah and Tyler; 5 great grandchildren, Braden, Landon, Maddi, Avery and Myles; sisters, Gwen, Mabel, Norma (Bill) and Daphne (Ken); plus a large circle of extended family and friends.
Walter was predeceased by parents, Samuel and Jenny Kenway; parents in law, Thomas and Edith Smith; infant great grandson, Daniel; sister, Phyllis Smith; son in law, Hughie Rowe.
The Kenway Family will be accepting visitors at Peninsula Funeral Home on:
Sunday, June 30th from
10:00am to 12:00pm
2:00pm to 4:00pm
7:00pm to 9:00pm
A funeral service will take place at Peninsula Funeral Home for close family and friends on Monday, July 1st at 3:00pm.
Interment to follow at a later date in Red Harbour.
In Walter’s memory donations may be made to the Burin Peninsula SPCA.
