Walt was raised on Bishop cove shore, in Spaniards bay, overlooking the water. Walt loved spending time on the ocean. One of his favorite pastimes was using his boat to navigate the waters of Spaniards Bay to fish. Much like he did in his youth with his brothers. He loved classic cars and enjoyed collecting model cars. An interest started in his youth as he often spoke of picking up his first wife, Myra in his studebaker to go on a date. This passion was one he shared with his sons grandsons and great-grand son. Walt spent much of his working life in construction. But to anyone who knew him he was a jack of all trades capable of fixing anything. He had a keen interest in family history and had shared this interest with his daughter. He was an avid gardener, a passion he shared with his second wife Jessie and enjoyed many hours in his garden and green house tending to the various plants. Always eager to share his crop with family and friends. He could put a smile on anyone’s face with his sense of humour and infectious laugh which led to a very large circle of friends. Walt was a man who always put his family first. His children and grandchildren were his world. He leaves a lasting legacy and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
