Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Violetta Pearl Savoury announce her sudden passing on Wednesday, November 6th, 2024, at the age of 73 years. Born in Isle aux Morts, Violetta was the daughter of the late Willam and Ethel Jane Leamon. She was also predeceased by her beloved granddaughter, Teanna Violet Allen; her father and mother-in-law, Joseph and Annie Savoury; her sister Joanne Leamon and her brother Gerald Leamon.
Left to mourn with many fond and precious memories is her husband of 56 years, Harold; her children, Kerry (Tina), Cecilia (Joshua), and Jennifer (Parker). Proud grandmother of her three granddaughters, Keshia, Carly, and Jelisa, and her five great-grandchildren, Natalie, Jaxon, Gabriel, Carter, and Londyn. She will also be sadly missed by her five brothers, three sisters, plus a very large circle of in-laws, extended family, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Violetta found joy in the simple pleasures of life that made her heart smile. She loved sitting outside on warm evenings by the fire. Her garden was a special place for her; she spent countless hours tending to her flower beds. Violetta also looked forward to her little trips to Tim Hortons, where she would savor her favorite coffee, watching the world go by as she enjoyed those quiet moments. However, nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were her greatest treasures, and every visit filled her heart with love and laughter.
Family and friends are welcome to visit on Saturday, November 9th, 2024, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at East Haven Funeral Home, 57 Grand Bay road, Port aux Basques, NL. Funeral services will take place Sunday, November 10th, 2024, at 11 AM from East Haven Funeral Home officiated by Herbert Park, with interment to follow at Hillside Haven Cemetery, Isle aux Morts road.
