Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Vincenzo (Vince) Macchiusi. He passed peacefully surrounded by family after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Vince was born in Pescosolido, Frosinone Italy in 1939 to Giuseppe and Elvira (DiCarlo) Macchiusi and came to Canada in 1954. He was a proud Canadian while maintaining the heritage and culture from which he came. It wasn’t long before he became a skilled plumber, a proud member of United Association Local 46 and for many years was the foreman of highrise construction and was well respected by those who worked with him.
He enjoyed the simple things in life. Spending time with family and friends was of utmost importance. He loved cooking and sharing a glass of his homemade wine. He will be fondly remembered for his kindness, generosity and laid back nature. You couldn’t help but enjoy his company.
Vince will be forever missed by his wife Julie (Snow), his daughters Christina (Pino) and Angela (Anthony). He was a proud grandfather to Gabriel, Isabel, Alexander, Matthew and Francesco. He is survived by his sister Liberata, brother Luigi, his nieces, nephews and friends.
He was a devoted husband, the most wonderful dad, grandfather and friend to many. Our lives will never be the same without him but we are truly blessed to have had him in ours. May he finally be at peace.
