It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great great grandmother Vera (Wela) Klukman (nee Blavatnik) on Friday, July 14, 2023. Vera was born on Oct 10, 1923 in Trustaniec, Ukraine, the second of three sisters. She survived the war with her mother (Chaya Blavatnk, nee Royf) and sisters (Luba and Lida). Her father (Pinchas Blavatnik) died in Georgia.
Vera spoke five languages, started life in a new country twice over, and was an avid reader and learner until her death.
Beloved wife of the late Leon Klukman, loving mother of Paula Wagner (Ken) and Helen Braun (Stefan), devoted grandmother to Rachel Wagner (Idan), Sarah Wagner Schell (Tim), Jeremy Wagner, Jesse Braun (Marta) and Rebecca Braun, great grandmother (aka Super Bubbie) to seven great grandchildren, Cassidy and Tori Schell, Lee and Emile Wagner-Driman, Leo Wagner and David and Jacob Braun, loving aunt to her nieces and nephews and their families. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
