Tyler’s Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Tyler Grant Gramiak announce his passing at the age of 30. Tyler was on a Harley motorcycle trip with friends and getting ready to leave for the day when he passed away. Tyler leaves behind his forever loves of his life Mackenzie and 9 month old daughter Rori, his father and mother Grant and Arlene and dear sister Karina and niece Jayde and nephew Jordan, Uncle Greg Gramiak (Maria), Aunt Cindy Boisvert, Uncle Aaron Brown (Cheryl), Uncle Ross Wiltermuth (Shirley) and Uncle Anubis Gryphon. Tyler was predeceased by his Grandpa Glenn Gramiak, Grandma Rita Gramiak, Grandpa Keith Brown and Uncle Willard Brown.
Tyler loved life and spent all his free time with Mackenzie, Rori and his beloved dogs Nav and Sal who he took everywhere. Tyler had many close friends that he spent time with and always was there to help and lend a hand. He was a master builder who could and would try everything from building lego with Jayde and Jordan as well as more complex lego with Mackenzie to more complex things like Ikea cabinets. He was able to figure out just about anything he set his mind to. He loved tending to his garden and plants with complicated watering systems, timers and apps. He loved going to the beach with his family and throwing sticks and balls for Nav and Sal. Tyler had an infectious smile which you can see in his daughter Rori.
Tyler grew up in Slave Lake and spent all of his life here. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, quading (including fixing them when he broke them), travelling, spending time with family and friends and loving life.
Tyler was born with congenital heart block and required a pacemaker at the age of 4. He was very proud that he was bionic and showed everyone his scar to prove it. Despite that, he was very healthy and active.
He attended Roland Michener High School and graduated in 2012. He decided that he was done with school and started working for a wireline company which he loved. Tyler was always looking for something new and started to work for PureChem Services in 2015 with his father. He again excelled at what he did and enjoyed helping customers and co-workers with all kinds of issues.
A Celebration of Life for Tyler will be held at The Gathering Place in Slave Lake (800 6 Ave. NW) Friday, July 12, 2024 at 1pm with a fellowship greeting and lunch at the Legion (400 Main St. NW) following the service.
In lieu of flowers, a Go Fund Me has been started for Mackenzie and Rori or e-transfers can be sent directly to Mackenzie (mac.fish@live.ca)
The family would like to thank the good friends and medical staff at Fairview that helped Tyler at the time.
